Super Antioxidants
- Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants act as "free radical scavengers" and hence prevent and repair damage done by these free radicals. Health problems such as heart disease, macular degeneration, diabetes, chronic diseases, etc are all contributed by oxidative damage. Antioxidants may also enhance immune defense and therefore lower the risk of complicated diseases and infection.
Directions:
- As a dietary supplement take once or twice daily. Simply add 1 sachet (12g) to 200 ml of cool or lukewarm water. Stir and serve.
Main Function:
- Enhance immune defense and therefore lower the risk of complicated diseases and infection.
- Prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body.
- Help control cholesterol levels.
The Ingredients in Oxy Berry:
- Blue Berry, Mangosteen Extract, Green Tea Extract, Red Yeast Rice, Beet Root, Psyllium Husk.
1. Blue Berry
- Blueberries have a diverse range of micronutrients, with notably high levels of the essential dietary mineral manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K and dietary fiber.
- Blueberries contain anthocyanins, other antioxidant pigments and various phytochemicals possibly having a role in reducing risks of some diseases, including inflammation and chronic diseases.
2. Mangosteen Extract
- Mangosteen extract contains two primary xanthones - garcinol and mangostin, which are proven to be effective in supporting healthy immune function.
- Mangosteen extract is rich in α-mangostin, β-mangostin and xanthones, a class of polyphenolic antioxidants which are also known for their immune supporting properties.
3. Green Tea Extract
- Green tea extract is 20 times more antioxidant-active than Vitamin C.
- The biochemical properties of green tea extracts can be generally divided into four aspects – antioxidant, anti-inflammation, and anti-radiation.
4. Red Yeast Rice
- Red yeast rice naturally contains several ingredients that may help control cholesterol levels.
5. Beet Root
- Beet Root is a good source of vitamins & minerals, especially an easy to assimilate iron. It is suitable for anemia, toning and rebuilding the liver, as well as beneficial for slimming and fat digestion.
6. Psyllium Husks
- Psyllium has long been recognized for its potential role in reducing blood cholesterol. As early as in 1998, the FDA already approved a health claim on psyllium:
"3g to 12g soluble fiber from psyllium seed husk when included as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease"
Studies have shown that psyllium husk is effective in lowering total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein or LDL (the bad cholesterol) levels.
